Privacy policy

- Files you analyse never leave your device: they are parsed in your browser and never uploaded.
- No accounts, no cookies, no advertising, no cross-site tracking.
- Visits and a few anonymous usage events are measured without cookies; file names and contents are never sent.

Files you analyse
Databases, Biome files, folders and ZIP archives you open are read and processed by WebAssembly code running in your browser (in a Web Worker). They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else.
Exports you download (CSV, JSON) are generated in your browser. Closing or reloading the page forgets everything you loaded.
What is kept in your browser
- Your theme choice (light or dark), in local storage.
- The time-range filter, in the part of the page address after #. Browsers never send that part to a server.
None of this is sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
What our host records
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which delivers the pages. Like any web server it processes technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, requested address, browser user agent and referring page. This is needed to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse (legitimate interest), and it is kept for a limited period under Vercel's retention rules. Vercel is based in the United States; see its privacy policy (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy) for how transfers outside the EU are safeguarded.
Audience and performance measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and Vercel Speed Insights to measure loading performance (for example how fast pages display on a type of device). Neither uses cookies or tracks you across sites; visitors are not identified.
Web Analytics also records a few anonymous usage events, each with at most two coarse properties: a file was selected or analysed (its extension and whether it was dropped, picked or a sample, never its name or content), an export format, a copy action (only whether it came from code, a table or a field, never the copied text), a search (never the query), and a link followed to another site (only its domain).
The purpose is to understand which pages and features are useful and to keep the site fast (legitimate interest).
Cookies
The site sets no cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner.
No other third parties
Fonts, scripts, the WebAssembly engine and the synthetic samples are all served from this site. There is no advertising, no social-media widget and no embedded third-party content. Links to other sites take you to those sites, under their own policies.
If you email us
We use your address and message only to reply, and keep them no longer than the exchange requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data about you, restrict or object to its processing, and ask for a copy (portability). Since the site has no accounts and never receives your files, there is usually very little we hold; write to contact@knowledgecparser.com and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to your data-protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its date.
